It was my total pleasure to talk with my friend and colleague Caitlin Casella again on her podcast Practice Human.
In this episode, I talk about what open-mindedness means for movement and the study of anatomy, and why I feel it’s important to avoid transactional relationships with students where they come to you for answers that you give them, instead of fostering open-minded curiosity and critical thinking.
Listen to this episode if you are interested in unpacking teaching cues, want to know where I suggest new yoga teachers focus their attention with regards to learning anatomy (hint, it’s not by studying anatomy!) and the good ethics of recognizing the limits of knowledge we can glean from any given source. I also share some of my trade anatomy teaching secrets!
