TRAINING DESCRIPTION

For live online or in-person

This training will be held in-person at Practice Human Physical Therapy and presented live online via Zoom.

Practice Human is located at 28 W 27 St, Room 704, New York, NY 10001

Saturday Session 1: Getting to know your bands + band benefits

Feb 17th 9:00am-12:00pm ET 

Saturday Session 2: Streamlining your sequencing with resistance bands

Feb 17th 2:00pm-5:00pm ET 

Sunday Session 3: Effective cueing strategies

Feb 18th 9:00am-12:00pm ET 

Sunday Session 4: Purposeful application of bands

Feb 18th 2:00pm-5:00pm ET 

What you need for the live sessions:

• Dress comfortably.
• Make sure you have these resistance bands and props
• If attending in person, bring your own mat and blanket. Blocks will be provided.
• Make sure your bands are pre-tied and ready to go for the first session. We will not spend a lot of time going over how to do this as it is already detailed here.

All recorded content

All recorded content will be available for you in your portal on my website which you will access a week before the live training begins. Recordings of the live sessions will be added within a few days after the training ends.

The online portal includes:

• PDF manuals of all exercises, sequences, and the power point lectures on different body science topics we cover in the live training which you will download and keep forever
• band guides and how-tos
• 40+ banded pose tutorials designed specifically to solve a yoga-related problems including:
  • loading supplements for the particularly under-used muscles of the body, like the pulling muscles of the shoulders
  • banded concepts to increase variable loading within the yoga practice
  • tactile cueing strategies to enhance proprioception in the poses
  • ways to use the bands to make the postures more accessible
• 5 bonus classes from Laurel’s virtual studio—examples of live classes for the general public so you have an example of simple, effective application of resistance bands in a real class setting. You will download and keep these forever.
• all live session recordings—these will be uploaded within a few days after the live training ends.

Everything in the portal is yours to review for a full year after the training ends, until Feb 18th, 2025. The PDF manual and the 5 bonus classes are yours to download and keep.
